Artiste Box Purse

I needed a quick gift card holder for my daughter's teacher and I decided to try one of the gift box purses out.  The Close to My Heart Artiste Cricut cartridge made very quick work out of this project. It is a cute way to give someone money, a gift card. or candy.  You can adjust the size to whatever you need!

Directions:

Artiste Cartridge Page 57 3D Object cut at 2.5"
Oval Shape on Page 36 cut at 1.5"
Purse "strap" 5/8"X 6"

This project would work with any of our paper lines.  I chose to use Regatta and the matching complements.

Camera Ready

Everyone knows someone who loves photography.  When I saw April's stamp of the month, I knew it was going to be a hit.  There has been so many fun ideas posted using this stamp set.  After a bit of thought, I decided that I wanted to put a little card kit together.

This stamp set is only available through the end of the month.  If you haven't picked it up yet, you can purchase it for $17.95 or only $5.00 with your $50.00 order of Close to My Heart product. All of these fun goodies can be purchased in my online store.

These are 3 X 3 card bases in Colonial White.  The black card stock is cut at 2.75 X 2.75 and the glitter paper is cut at 2.5 X 2.5.  I used the black and gold ribbon as an accent.  To hold the cards I used a muslin bag(on clearance right now at Close to My Heart) and stamped the images in archival black.

This will be a fun gift for that person always hiding behind the camera.

Double Pocket Gift Card Holder Regatta

Looking for a fun way to give a gift card?  Have you seen the double pocket card fold?  I ran across it a few years ago and I fell in love.  It really is a versatile way to send a sweet greeting and a gift.

For this particular card, I used the paper pack Regatta from CTMH's Seasonal Expression 1 catalog.  I am sad to report that after April all of the products in the catalog will be retired.  I won't be sad for too long because when the Seasonal Expressions 1 catalog retires the Seasonal Expressions 2 catalog is making its debut.  You are going to love this new catalog!  Last month, I got a sneak peak at a CTMH launch event in Seattle and let's just say MAGICAL!

One of the many benefits of being a CTMH consultant is we get to preview and purchase new product a month in advance.  My order will arrive tomorrow and I am so excited to start creating with all of the fun new products.

Just in case you missed my previous post--You can sign up with CTMH for only $75.00 and in return receive over $150.00 in products plus a $50 credit to allow you to add more stamps, inks and paper to help you get started.  Join TODAY or contact me with any questions!

Beach Time Layout with Regatta Paper

If I had to label myself as a specific kind of paper crafter, I would have to say I am primarily a card maker.  I also lean towards home design projects and gifts.  Scrapbooking just wasn't something that I chose to concentrate on--that is until now.

Have you seen the fun little shaker cards?  I had never made one before, so I decided to give it a try. This is how my scrapbook layout started out.  I spent some time figuring out how to put the shaker card together and then I started playing with my 12 X 12 canvas.  I had so much fun--adding and taking away elements on the page.  Cards are fun to create but a full scrapbook layout is just a larger area to play with.  I am hooked and I see many more layouts in my future.

The paper pack I chose to use was perfect for my beach time layout.  It is the Regatta paper line from CTMH.  There is a definitely a maritime feel to the paper.  You have the red/white/blue combination which would be perfect for your 4th of July events and then there are the cool ocean tones perfect to capture your days at the beach.  Unfortunately, this paper line is close to retirement.  It is here for just until the end of April.  If you have summer beach vacation plans, be sure to grab some before it is gone.

You can find all of the paper and complements here:
