It is the beginning of February and I am starting to feel the winter blues. I am over the cold days and it is that time to start dreaming about Spring. I just read that infamous groundhog didn't cast a shadow this year, so I guess there is hope.
Even if the sun refuses to shine most days here in Idaho, I decided to take things in my own hands and find some sunshine in my craft room.
The
Paper Fundamentals from Close to My Heart was a perfect choice to brighten my day. There are so many colors and patterns to choose from this paper line. One side of the paper has a pretty pattern and the other side of the paper is a solid color with a glossy finish. I think it was the perfect combination to make these fun and vibrant cards.
I used the new
Springtime Wishes Thincuts set and the
Springtime Wishes stamp set to create the flowers and leaves. Thincuts use your embossing/die cutting machine to cut out coordinating stamp shapes. When you see an outline of blue around certain CTMH stamps--there is a coordinating Thincut. This makes it nice when you want to make a project, but don't have time to bring out your Cricut machine.
If you are in the Boise area and would like to make a set of cards for yourself, I will be teaching this class in March. All of the details and signup information can be found on my Meetup page at the following link:
